About the role

As our Data Scientist, you'll own data end-to-end: how we collect it, how we structure and govern it, and how we turn it into the intelligence behind our products. A core part of the role is building and improving eraborn's Fertility LLM — the model that makes Eve a genuinely helpful, trustworthy fertility copilot. You'll build data pipelines, curate high-quality datasets, fine-tune and evaluate models, and design retrieval and safety layers that keep outputs accurate and responsible in a medical context. This is a high-ownership role for someone who's equally comfortable with messy data engineering and rigorous model work, and who cares about getting things right when the stakes are this personal.

What we're looking for

Strong background in data science and applied machine learning, with hands-on LLM / NLP experience.

Proven ability to build and manage data pipelines — collection, cleaning, labeling, storage, and governance.

Experience fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying language models, including retrieval-augmented (RAG) approaches.

Fluency in Python and the modern ML/data stack; comfort with SQL and data warehousing.

A rigorous approach to evaluation, safety, and bias — especially critical for health content.

Awareness of privacy and compliance when working with sensitive health data.

Self-direction to own the data function early and grow it over time.

Design and run the systems that collect, structure, and manage our data.

Build, fine-tune, and evaluate the Fertility LLM that powers Eve.

Develop retrieval and safety layers that keep AI outputs accurate and responsible.

Define data governance, quality, and privacy practices from the ground up.

Partner with backend and product to ship AI features users can trust.

Build evaluation frameworks to measure and continually improve model quality.

Surface insights from our data that sharpen product and business decisions.
